Toys to Retirement Weekly Wrap-Up #45
Hello friends,
Happy Q4! Though October isn’t exactly a driving force for sales, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I did a “2025 Q4 Quick Tips” article this week that has been met with great feedback, highly suggest you all check it out here:
More Walmart Glitches…
You may have experienced a bit of a heart attack this week, I know I did. Something went wrong on Walmart’s back end, bringing the quantities of thousands of listings to either 0 or somewhere over 2 billion. Yes, you read that right. On top of that, thousands of listings errored out suggesting that Walmart had partnered with specific brands, effectively locking us out. Turns out, for some reason, listings had incorrect information published on the back end linking thousands of listings to the NFL, San Jose Earthquakes, and other protected brands. The system flagged the items and errored them out.
Luckily, this should be resolved now. Not a great way to start Q4.
Other Weird CPC Things…
We are over a week past Walmart’s CPC deadline — I haven’t seen any listings go down.
CPC requests started piling up on Amazon, including several LEGO sets — all the requests seem to have vanished.
I have no idea what’s going on guys. Delays until after Q4 perhaps? Maybe both platforms realizing the extent of their decision to want to roll this out before Q4?
I’m sure more news will come out next week, until then — still limbo!
LEGO ‘Retiring Soon’ Section — Major Update
I have never seen so many sets confirmed to be discontinued directly from LEGO this early in the year. The ‘Retiring Soon’ section is beaming with potential investments.
Check it out and start making a list of what you want here: https://www.lego.com/en-us/categories/last-chance-to-buy
It’s always nice to have official confirmation, especially on certain sets that may have been higher risk of being extended.
Also side note, a decent LEGO GWP is running through the weekend!
Big Deal Days Next Week
One of the best times of the year! Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other retailers will be launching their first big Q4 sales!
While there is bound to be fantastic deals, remember — it is against TOS to A2A items that you use Prime benefits on.
I have seen people allegedly section 3’d and questioned for this on social media.
Keep that in mind as you source the Amazon Deal Days.
