Toys to Retirement Weekly Wrap-Up #48
Hello friends,
Happy Halloween! Aside from gaining a pound or two from Reese’s, you know what else is great about Halloween? It means in less than 24 hours it’s November. Which means… Black Friday is around the corner!
All year we prepare for these next 55 days, let’s make every hour count.
Let’s take a look back at the week:
Marvel Legends in 2025 - A Golden Year for Investing?
Earlier this week I published a 30-minute video analyzing some Marvel Legends and explaining why I think we might be in a golden era for investing in the line.
You should be able to pick up a lot of product analysis tips in this one, don’t miss it:
Target Announces Early Black Friday + More
Start stacking your discounted gift cards, because Nov 6 - Nov 8 starts Target’s Early Black Friday sale.
Up to 50% off select toys, including Barbie, FAO Schwarz and Hot Wheels
40% off select LEGO
Black Friday starts online Thursday, 11/27 and in stores Friday, 11/28.
Shop confidently this season with Target’s Holiday Price Match Guarantee
Those are the highlights from the summary. The question is, will those be discounts on the already sale prices like they have done randomly before? Or is this going to be some sort of ‘fake’ sale where they raise MSRP?

Walmart Also Announcing an Early Black Friday
November 14 will be the start of Walmart’s Black Friday deals. They’ll of course be kicking off first for Walmart + members, and us non-Walmart + users will have access five hours after.
It remains to be seen what most of the deals will be, but I’m expecting LEGO Minecraft Crafting Table, LEGO Creator Ukulele, some $25 LEGO Technic, LEGO Groot (already retired), some exclusive Marvel Legends, the LEGO 3-pack bundles, some mainline Jurassic figure, LEGO Avengers Helicarrier, and some $20 Pokemon Collection Boxes to be the heavily advertised, mainstream items for sale. We’ll see, making these predictions could make me look like a total idiot in two weeks!

Friendly Reminder About Repricing
A couple weeks ago I did a video overview of how I approach repricing during Q4.
I cannot stress how important this is.
I have already received several messages from people who have taken action in this area and are reporting incredible results.
This is not an exaggeration, how you reprice will literally pay for multiple extra tropical vacations every year.
October is ending. The mood is now shifting to the holidays. Velocity is going to start picking up, and you need to be taking advantage of the season.

LEGO Buying Season
Depending on your risk tolerance, it’s prime LEGO buying season. Several hot sets have already sold out on LEGO, usually meaning they are not going to return to the shop at home site. If you haven’t started stacking and are intending to, it’s not a terrible time to start as a cute Disney-themed GWP is available at a reasonable $130 threshold for purchases on any sets.
